I spotted this vibrant looking crab at Chek Jawa. I was thinking it might be a female Fiddler Crab.

Was at Central Catchment with mediacorp for interview and filming on the monkey feeding issue to be televised on 12 June '09 at 10.30 pm on the programme - Frontline and was lucky to stumble across a huge hairy spider crossing a road which is typical for 'big spider" behaviour to be found on floor level instead of resting on trees or leaves.

An expert has
confirmed that this is Ctenus floweri or one of its close relative.
This is a large leaf litter spider, which is common, but rarely seen.

This Day Flying Moth (Amata (Syntomis) huebneri) came into my house to hide from the thunder storm this morning. There are many other species of Day Flying Moths, but this is the most commonly seen.
