Reptiles at Central Catchment

Was at Central Catchment forest in search of snake and found this large approx.16-foot long wild Reticulated Python (Python reticulatus) in sleeping mode. It move off after feeling my camera clicking disturbance on her for a while.

While searching for snake, also sighted a rare gecko in Central Catchment forest - Malayan Marbled Bent-Toed Gecko or Marbled Forest Gecko (Cyrtodactylus quadrivirgatus). This rare species of gecko can only be found in Pulau Tekong and Central Catchment.

Dragonposition. A pair of dragonflies, Orthetrum sabina, doing their best @ Chestnut area.

Orthetrum sabina. A huge guy this one, by dragonfly standard.

Happy mating. A pair of dragonflies, Rhyothemis obsolescens, doing their best @ Chestnut area.

Dragonfly, Rhyothemis phyllis, mating.

Dragonfly, Rhyothemis triangularis.

Dragon eats Dragon. To be eaten alive is no fun. Orthetrum sabina eats Neurothemis fluctuans.

Orthetrum sabina. This guy looks mean and formidable, don't mess around with him especially if you're a dragonfly.

A tiny Crab Spider (Thomisus sp.) stalking its prey.
